The 4th Focus Group was held on Tuesday 30 May, in the Farinelli hall of the G. Ceci municipal library, included in the wider animation program of the territory of the Food Policy Hub of the Municipality of Andria. The central topic of the focus was the "fight against food waste" which saw the participation of some representatives of the Coop Estense, Don Geremia Acri, director of Casa Acc. S. M. Goretti who manages the charity canteen and other representatives of projects and local associations. . Leading the debate was Marco Ranieri and Antonio Spera of Avanzi Popolo 2.0. The experts brought the experiences currently active in the city of Bari to the discussion table. The perspective that leads them to be sentinels of the territory to put together the places of waste with those of need is interesting.

The management team of the Food Policy Hub does not stop and is already at work for the next focus group on the theme of "Collective public catering and canteens" which will see representatives of the schools in Andria compared with representatives of the ASL BT who deal with prevention and food safety. Following, at 19.00, in the conference room of Casa Acc. S.M. Goretti, in via Quarti n. 7, a conference open to the community will be held in which Dr. Riccardo Matera, director of the Prevention Department of the ASL BT and dr. Domenico Stingi, director of the FF SIAN ASL BT. The event falls on the "World Food Safety Day" and is aimed at spreading awareness among the population about the situation in the city on very current issues: the school canteen menu; food controls; the protocols that commercial activities adopt and, last but not least, what we take home and put in the fridge and/or pantry.

A snapshot of the city's state of health, obesity and nutrition will be traced. Not one, but many valid reasons to actively participate in the process of "cultural nourishment" promoted by the Food Hub of Andria in concert with the municipal administration.
