Andria Food Policy Hub

The city of Andria is building a system around the great challenges it faces today: the question of food is linked to the broad issue of climate change and to all the environmental policies in place in the area, addressing, de facto, issues of law : right to life, right to health, the right of each citizen to a healthy standard of living sufficient to guarantee the well-being of the community. The Food Policy Hub operates as a lever to build new responses to old and emerging social problems and needs, which are aggravated by specific context conditions, which the Administration intends to take on in a new and "intelligent" way, with new ideas ( products, services, places and networks) that create social value but also new relationships and new collaborations.

The objective of the Food Policy Hub is to create a network between the people and institutions that animate and regulate the food-related processes of the city of Andria in order to be able to build together new strategies for common growth and to respond more and more promptly to existing problems and exploit the potential of our territory. For this reason, the Food Policy Hub acts as a cultural facilitator of a growth process that must necessarily contaminate and contaminate itself with all the active experiences in the city. It is the future of our communities that calls for new tools and increasingly multidisciplinary approaches. By implementing policies that promote sustainable food production, urban agriculture, equitable access to healthy food and waste reduction, we can help build resilient communities and improve people's quality of life.
